Menara Citibank Fire Drill "Testing"...

Sigh....................

I was "song song" listening to my mp3 on my laptop while working... Out of a sudden, I slightly heard some weird alarm ringing.

At first, I thought it was my colleagues doing some testing on their system, so I ignored it. But it goes on for so long that I thought, maybe someone set the alarm to go off to remind that someone needs to head for a meeting or something.

Then one of my colleagues passby me and giving me some "eye signals" that I was wondering... hmmm... Something wrong??

Then I removed my headphone and I heard the alarm shrilling quite loudly that I start to ask, "So... what's that alarm for??"

My colleague smiled at me and said, "Fire drill testing ler..."

OH MY GAWDDDDDDDDD!!!!!! TELL ME ITS SOOOOOO NOT TRUE!!!!!!!!

Then another 1 of my colleague, she's been assigned as a "Fire Warden", start asking us to "Move move move... you'll be perished by the 'fire'"...

So off we move our asses to gather at the front of the fire exit... Mind you, we're gathering there, haven't a clue whether should we go down or wait, we haven't a clue where to meet up also!!

Then another colleague of mine, another "Fire Warden", asked us to wait while he..... actually, I've got no idea why we need to wait... I just know that, if there's really a fire, we'll be burned to ashes adi.. :P

After about 10minutes, we got the signal from the "Fire Warden" and he asked us to exit via the fire exit and... definitely not via lift!!! We have to WALK DOWN the stairs FROM 27th FLOOR!!!!!!!!!!

*FAINT*

After 6th floors, we reached the 21st floor... still A LOT MORE to go!!! *FAINT*

After 10minutes from 21st floor, we're STILL walking down the stairs!!! T_T

FINALLY!!!!!!! FINALLY!!!!!!!! We've FINALLY reached the lobby!!!!!!!!

When I exit, I saw there's even ambulance on the ready...

Even BOMBA are there!!!

Not 1 but 2 BOMBA's car on the ready... Look how relaxed is the "mata"... sitting on the "stone"

A lot of us moving our asses to Ampang Park LRT station to gather up...

When I reached the LRT, they're giving our mineral waters... BOXES of it!!

This is the 1st time I see Ampang Park LRT station are so packed!!!

Then they setup a "booth" for us to "register" our names and to say "I'm ALIVE!!!"

They asked us to gather up according to our floors... Sigh... I'm on 27th!!! T_T

Our "Fire Warden" are being surrounded to register our name to say we made it!!!

Then they even gave out a "fan" to CONGRATS us that we made it!!!

Yes the Fire Drill was suppose to be on 26th Nov '08 but they postponed it till 15th Jan '09!!!When I was gathering up at the LRT, I was there standing waiting (for dunno what), and I felt that my legs got wobbly!!! This shows that I didn't do much exercises... Aihhhhhh......

Anyhow... Thank GOD it's only once a year (I heard it might be few months once!!!), so it's still OK.

Also, THANK GOD I'm wearing sport shoes!!! If I'm wearing heels, I'll ask them to carry me down!!! KAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAK!!

Actually, I was wondering, how come they didn't have a pole at the fire exit stairways for us to "slide" down like those firemen do?? It'll be A LOT faster isn't it??

Unless.................. there's someone so free, go over there to dance on the pole................. kekekekekekekekek!!!
